Qualifications
Dr. Sumeet Shah is a Surgical Oncologist - in simple words - a Surgeon, trained in cancer surgery (All cancer surgeries are supra major surgeries and need a lot of skill, training and experience, to perform a good surgery). He has done his training in Surgical Oncology from the Tata memorial Hospital, Asia's largest cancer centre and practices in the Mumbai suburs from Borivli to Bandra. Following is a time line of his qualifications:
M.B.B.S (1996 to 2002): Seth G.S.Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, Parel (KEM Hospital).
M.S. (General Surgery) (2003 to 2006): Grant Medical College and Sir J.J.Group of Hospitals, Byculla (JJ Hospital)
Surgical Oncology Residency (2006 to 2009): Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel
Fellowhip (2009 to 2010), Surgical Oncology, Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel
Lecturer (2010 to 2011), Surgical Oncology, Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel
At the Tata Memorial Hospital, he has worked extensively in the all units, over a period of five years and has gained a good experience into managing all solid organ tumours. He left Tata Memorial Hospital in June, 2011 and since then he is into his private practice, in the suburbs from Borivli to Bandra. He has his clinic at Borivali - SilverLine OncoCare - where he consults his patients and depending on need, gives the patients options to get operated at various hospitals where he is attached. Apart from his clinic, he also consults at the attached hospitals, on prior appointment.
